Looking for SUTD swimming lessons near Upper Changi? SwimmingCoach.sg accepts lesson enquiries for this area, but access to the university pool is controlled and every arrangement must be confirmed before you travel.
Check Pool Access Before Booking
SUTD’s official Sports and Recreation Centre portal requires students and staff to sign in. It also provides an application route for alumni and visitors seeking fitness-centre or pool membership, and an enquiry route for organisations that want to book a sports facility.
This means the SUTD pool should not be treated like a walk-in public swimming complex. Lesson location, learner access, instructor availability and venue approval must all be confirmed for your requested date.

- Lesson arrangement: confirm the date, time, instructor and exact meeting point.
- Learner details: share age, water confidence, current ability and any relevant support needs.
- Supervision: ask whether a parent or responsible adult must remain poolside for a child.
- Alternative locations: if SUTD access is unavailable, ask about a suitable public or private pool nearby.
SwimSafer at SUTD
Do not assume that SwimSafer training, assessment or certification is available at SUTD for every booking. Ask specifically about the programme stage, training venue and assessment arrangement. For official programme information, refer to Sport Singapore’s SwimSafer information.
Official SUTD Address and Directions
SUTD’s official address is 8 Somapah Road, Singapore 487372. Upper Changi MRT Exit E leads directly into the campus. SUTD also lists a walking route from Expo MRT along Changi South Avenue 1, plus bus access from stops on Somapah Road and Upper Changi Road East.
Check current directions on the official SUTD directions page. Pool access is separate from campus directions and must be confirmed before the lesson.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can members of the public walk in and use the SUTD pool?
Do not plan on walk-in access. SUTD’s facilities portal describes login, membership application and facility-enquiry routes for different user groups. Confirm your access before travelling.
Does SUTD run the lessons advertised on this page?
No. SwimmingCoach.sg is an independent provider and this page is for lesson enquiries in the SUTD and Upper Changi area.
Are SwimSafer tests held at SUTD?
Availability is not guaranteed. Ask separately about training and assessment arrangements for the required SwimSafer stage.
What information should I include in my enquiry?
Provide the learner’s age, ability, goals, preferred schedule, access status and any support needs. This helps the team check a suitable instructor and venue arrangement.
