Swimming Success Awaits
SwimmingCoach.sg arranges private and small-group swimming lessons with qualified coaches at Queenstown Swimming Complex. We are an independent coaching service, not the operator of the complex.
Queenstown Swimming Complex is at 473 Stirling Road, near Queenstown MRT. It is one of Singapore's older public pools, with a competition pool, a teaching pool and a wading pool. That layout works well for lessons: toddlers and beginners in the shallower teaching and wading pools, and SwimSafer preparation, stroke correction and adult lap technique in the competition pool. The complex is closed on Tuesdays and has early-morning lane swimming on some days; check current hours before booking.
What is important?
- Water Safety Awareness
- Comfort in Water
- Floating and Buoyancy
- Breath Control and Blowing Bubbles
- Kicking and Arm Movements
- Water Play and Games

The coach checks the learner’s current ability in the first lesson and plans from there. A nervous beginner starts with breathing out underwater and floating; a child who can already swim works on stroke technique and SwimSafer skills; an adult who tires quickly usually works on breathing and body position.
Pool entry fees are paid separately from lesson fees.

Lessons are available for toddlers, kids, adults, ladies and learners with special needs, either one-to-one or in a small group.
Private lessons suit nervous beginners and anyone with a specific goal, such as a SwimSafer stage or fixing a stroke. Small groups cost less per person and work well for siblings or friends at a similar level.

Dive into Expert Instruction
Children working towards SwimSafer stages can be coached on the specific skills each stage tests.
Typical areas to work on include opening the eyes underwater without goggles, treading water or sculling for the required time, survival strokes, and swimming the required distances with relaxed breathing. The coach checks which items are already secure and spends lesson time on the rest.
Swimming Lessons at Queenstown Swimming Complex
Here is what lessons arranged through SwimmingCoach.sg look like at Queenstown.
Private Swim Classes at Queenstown Swimming Pool
In a private lesson the coach works only with you or your child, giving feedback on every length. It is the quickest way to fix a specific problem or help a nervous learner relax.
SwimSafer Preparation at Queenstown
Coaches can prepare children for SwimSafer stages by practising the test items. See our SwimSafer guide for details.
Qualified Instructors
Our coaches hold certifications from organisations such as NROC, SSI and Austswim, and are trained in first aid, CPR and AED. Ask about your proposed coach’s qualifications and experience when you enquire.
Nearby Alternatives
If Queenstown’s times do not suit you (for example on Tuesdays, when it is closed), nearby options include Delta and Clementi, subject to coach availability.
Kids’ Swimming Lessons at Queenstown
Kids’ lessons start with water confidence and safety, then build freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke step by step. The coach works on body position, kick and breathing, and tells parents what their child is working on next. See kids’ swimming lessons.
Adult Swimming Lessons at Queenstown
Adult beginners start with breathing out underwater, floating and standing up safely. Adults who can already swim usually work on breathing timing and body position. See adult swimming lessons.
Toddler Swimming Lessons at Queenstown
Toddler lessons are short, play-based sessions focused on comfort in the water: blowing bubbles, supported floating, kicking and safe entries and exits. The wading and teaching pools suit this age group. See toddler swimming lessons.
Ladies’ Swimming Lessons at Queenstown
Women who prefer a female coach can request one when enquiring. Lessons are paced to the learner, and Muslimah swimwear is welcome. See ladies’ swimming lessons.
