We’ve been teaching swimming in Yishun for years, and most of our students come to us through word of mouth from other parents in the area. Lessons are small so your coach can actually watch what you’re doing and fix it on the spot, rather than shouting instructions across a crowded lane.
Classes run in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, including weekends, so you can find a slot that works around school or work. Tell us what you’re after and we’ll sort out the rest.
Coaching in Yishun
Yishun Swimming Complex sits right in the middle of the estate, a short walk from Northpoint City and easy to reach by bus or MRT. It has a lap pool, a teaching pool and a wading pool, so there's a suitable space whether you're a complete beginner or training for distance.
Our instructors have taught hundreds of learners here, from three-year-olds to retirees. We keep classes small, plan each lesson around where you actually are, and won't rush you into deep water before you're ready. The aim is simple: get you swimming confidently and safely, and keep it enjoyable along the way.
Swimming Lessons for Special Needs
We run separate programmes for toddlers, kids, adults, ladies and swimmers with special needs, because each group learns differently. A nervous adult needs a very different approach from a five-year-old, and our coaches adjust accordingly.
Not sure which class suits you or your child? Just tell us the age and current ability in the form below and we’ll recommend the right starting point.

Getting Better in the Water
Already know the basics and want to go further? We coach stroke technique, breathing and endurance too, whether you're preparing for a SwimSafer test, a school requirement, or just want to swim proper laps without getting winded.
Yishun Swimming Complex has plenty of lane space for training, and there's a SAFRA pool and the Yishun Sports Hall nearby if you like mixing swimming with other activities. Our coaches will give you honest feedback and a clear plan to work on between sessions.
We prepare students for every stage of the national SwimSafer programme, from the first stage right through to Gold. If your child needs to clear a particular stage for school, let us know and we’ll build the lessons around it.
Water safety is the part we care about most. Even if you never plan to race, knowing how to stay calm and keep yourself afloat is a skill worth having for life.
Swimming Lessons at Yishun Swimming Complex
Yishun Swimming Complex is a familiar spot for families in the north, and it’s a comfortable place to learn. The pools are well kept, there’s shade and seating for parents, and it never feels intimidating for a first-timer. Our lessons are open to everyone, from kids taking their first strokes to adults finally ticking “learn to swim” off the list.
One-to-one attention
Everyone picks things up at a different pace, so we keep classes small and tailor each session to the swimmer in front of us. A beginner spends time getting comfortable and breathing right; a more advanced student works on cleaning up their stroke and building stamina. You won’t be stuck doing drills that are too easy or too hard for you.
SwimSafer preparation
Singapore’s SwimSafer programme is the standard for water competency, and we coach every stage of it. We’ll teach the survival and stroke skills each stage tests for, and let you know when you’re genuinely ready to attempt it rather than pushing you in too early.
Coaches who actually teach
Our instructors are certified and, more importantly, good with people. They explain things clearly, stay patient with anxious swimmers, and give feedback you can actually use. Plenty of our adult students came in scared of the water and now swim laps comfortably.
A pool that works for everyone
With a lap pool for training, a shallower teaching pool for beginners and a wading pool for the little ones, the complex has a suitable space for wherever you are in your swimming. Changing rooms and facilities are straightforward, so getting in and out is easy.
If you’ve been meaning to learn, or want your child to, Yishun Swimming Complex is a good place to start. Send us a note below and we’ll take it from there.
Kids’ Swimming Lessons in Yishun
Teaching a child to swim is really about two things: keeping them safe and keeping them keen. Our kids’ classes at Yishun balance both. Lessons have enough structure that children actually learn proper technique, but enough play that they look forward to coming back.
Learning that doesn’t feel like a chore
Kids learn fastest when they’re enjoying themselves, so we build games and challenges into the lessons. Underneath the fun, they’re picking up real skills, breath control, floating, kicking, and gradually building a comfortable relationship with the water.
Proper skills, step by step
We work through the fundamentals in a sensible order so nothing gets skipped. Safety habits come first, then floating and gliding, then strokes. Each child moves up when they’re ready, not because the calendar says so.
Coaches kids respond to
Our instructors know how to hold a child’s attention and how to encourage a shy one. They’re firm on safety and generous with praise, which is usually the combination that gets results.
Building confidence
Some children take to water immediately; others need coaxing. We meet each child where they are and let them progress at their own speed, so they build genuine confidence rather than just being pushed through.
Celebrating the small wins
First unassisted float, first full width, first time putting their face in without fuss, we make a point of celebrating these. That sense of progress is what keeps kids motivated to keep going.
We’d love to help your child learn to swim in a way they’ll actually enjoy. Fill in the form below and we’ll suggest a suitable class.
Adult Swimming Lessons in Yishun
It’s never too late to learn. A good number of our students are adults, some starting from zero, others wanting to finally swim properly instead of just splashing about. There’s no judgement here, and no group of kids watching you learn.
Lessons built around you
Adult learners all arrive with different goals and different comfort levels, so we tailor the coaching. Whether you want to get over a fear of water, learn freestyle from scratch, or fix a stroke that’s always felt awkward, we’ll focus on what matters to you.
Getting comfortable first
If water makes you anxious, you’re far from alone, plenty of adults feel that way. Our coaches take it slowly, build trust, and won’t rush you. Comfort comes first; technique follows once you’re relaxed.
Cleaner, easier strokes
For those who can already swim a bit, we work on making it efficient, better breathing, a smoother stroke, more distance without gasping for air. Small technical fixes often make a surprisingly big difference.
Reaching your goal
Whatever you’re aiming for, swimming a continuous lap, getting fit, or preparing for an event, we’ll set a realistic path and keep you moving toward it, session by session.
Something you’ll keep doing
Beyond technique, we want you to actually enjoy swimming, as exercise, as a way to unwind, as something you’ll keep up long after the lessons end. Most of our adult students end up swimming for years.

Toddler Swimming Lessons in Yishun
Getting little ones used to water early pays off later, and it should be gentle and fun. Our toddler classes at Yishun are all about safe, happy first experiences in the pool, with close supervision and lots of encouragement.
A gentle first splash
For most toddlers this is their introduction to a pool, so we keep it playful and unhurried. Through songs, games and guided play, they get used to the feel of water and start developing coordination without any pressure.
The goal at this age isn’t technique, it’s building a positive, unafraid relationship with water that sets them up for proper lessons down the road.
Made for little ones
Everything in these classes is pitched at a toddler’s attention span, short activities, plenty of variety, and lots of repetition of the fun bits. When they enjoy it, they come back happy and keep making progress.
Safety, above everything
Toddler classes are kept small, always closely supervised, and held in appropriate water depths. Our coaches are first-aid and CPR trained, so parents can relax knowing their child is in careful hands.
That peace of mind matters. Kids learn best when they feel safe, and so do parents watching from the side.
A warm, patient setting
Our instructors are calm and gentle with the youngest swimmers, moving at each child’s pace and cheering every little step. It makes for a friendly, low-stress environment that toddlers warm to quickly.
Keeping parents in the loop
Parents are part of this, and we’ll share simple things you can do to reinforce what your child is learning, plus regular updates on how they’re getting on. It works best as a team effort.

Ladies’ Swimming Lessons in Yishun
Some women prefer to learn in a women-only setting, and we’re happy to arrange that. Our ladies’ classes at Yishun offer a comfortable, relaxed space to learn or improve, whatever your age or reason for wanting to swim.
A comfortable space
We know some women feel self-conscious about learning to swim, especially as adults. Our ladies’ classes are set up to remove that barrier, supportive coaching, no pressure, and a friendly atmosphere where it’s fine to be a beginner.
Lessons that fit your goals
Whether you’re stepping into a pool for the first time or brushing up strokes you learned years ago, we adjust the lessons to suit you. There’s no fixed pace you have to keep up with.
Good for body and mind
Swimming is one of the gentlest ways to stay fit, easy on the joints and great for stress. Many of our ladies’ students come as much for the calm and the exercise as for the swimming itself.
Learn at your own pace
We move at a speed you’re comfortable with and celebrate progress as it comes. The aim is for you to feel capable and confident in the water, not to rush through a syllabus.
A friendly group
Our ladies’ classes often turn into a nice little community, familiar faces, some encouragement, the odd friendship. It makes coming to lessons something to look forward to.
